Helping to promote the best practice for building for effective literacy delivery programs. We bring the power of words to the world by partnering with organizations already using proven literacy interventions.

Advancing best practice

Project Literacy is partnering with organizations that are already implementing proven literacy interventions and helping them to grow. Why? Because there are some things that we know work, and we need more of them.

Here are a few examples of the partners we’re helping to extend their impact. (You can read more about each of these partners in the 2016 annual report.)

Featured Partner: Book Trust

Reading can transform lives. That simple but powerful conviction is what drives Book Trust, the largest reading charity in the UK. To inspire a love of reading in children, Book Trust gives out over two million carefully chosen books to children throughout the UK. In addition, every parent receives a Book Trust book in their baby’s first year. Project Literacy is partnering with Book Trust to implement Read for My School in the UK for the 2015-2016 school year. By the end of the 2015-2016 Read for My School campaign, 1,300 children in 2,000 schools across the U.K. had read over 590,000 books.
